Sukha: Good Space
Find your sukha (good space) through movement, meditation, breathwork, and wellness

sukha: good space
In Sanskrit, sukha means good (su) space (kha).Yoga is about finding balance. If a yoga posture challenges you but your mind remains calm, that’s good space. I love exploring this concept in my yoga practice and daily life. That’s why I became a yoga teacher.

Vinyasa flow Yoga
Vinyasa yoga is a dynamic flow of fluid postures that build strength, flexibility, and endurance. This practice generates internal heat through Sun Salutations, standing poses, balances, twists, and inversions—all guided by the breath within each asana (body posture).

Hatha alignment Yoga
Hatha yoga emphasizes longer-held poses, mindful presence, and proper pranayama (yogic breathing) and body alignment. This practice strengthens and stretches the body while calming the nervous system.

yin yoga
Yin yoga is a passive yet challenging practice that incorporates supine, prone, and seated poses. Each pose is held for 2-5 minutes, targeting the connective tissues in areas like the shoulders, spine, and hips; places not often worked in active yoga.We use blankets, bolsters, and blocks to adjust the intensity of each pose. Yin helps transition from a reactive mental state to a calm, mindful space.
Hi, i'm matt!

Fifteen years ago, I found yoga trying to balance a hectic lifestyle and demanding job. What started as a practice on my mat soon became a holistic approach to daily life.My classes welcome yogis of all levels. With clear cueing that emphasizes postural alignment while honoring yoga’s ethos, I believe a strong foundation leads to a sustainable practice. Each class begins with meditative poses and pranayama (yogic breathing), flowing into dynamic movement set to energizing music, and ending with longer-held, calming postures.

I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Vinyasa & Yin Yoga through Moksha Yoga Amazónica School in the Sacred Valley - Cusco, Peru. While in Peru, I also received a certificate in dinacharya (ayurvedic self-care) which trained in physiology and detoxification for optimizing health. As part of my continuing education, I've earned a certificate of Yin Studies from Yoga Renew to deepen my understanding of Yin Yoga. I maintain a Basic Life Support (CPR and AED) Certification as well.I'm a Registered Yoga Teacher ® 200 Hours with Yoga Alliance.
I live in Milwaukee with my family and our dog, Albert. I love to travel (the more exotic the destination, the better!), get lost in a great book, and I’ve recently started learning to cook Vietnamese food.
